— Welcome, I'm Jodi
About Me
While working as a therapeutic riding instructor Jodi Pinhero; Founder of HorseChik@ kept seeing the waste of so many horse fly masks.
She wanted to make a change. She knew this was a problem for not only this facility but literally anyone who took care of horses. The idea came when she had repaired one of her horse's fly masks and realized the mask could never be the same.
The material was not patchable. After two years of R & D, “HorseChik” could finally get behind a patent pending product. It’s been a long time coming. Something to believe in and get behind. Something to make a difference in the landfills. By making responsible buying choices we as a united equestrian community can make a huge difference if we choose too.
I’m starting with a new take on the fly mask. Next, focusing on making products more affordable, still high quality but won’t break the bank. Horses are so expensive as it is, I think I can do better. I’m on your side and so is HorseChik consider giving us a chance!
We wouldn’t be community minded if we didn’t have some great ideas for world disaster evacuations. Please stay tuned for our roll out of AALME (All Animals Lives Matter Evacuation) program/membership in 2025.
HorseChiks are everywhere!
Wouldn’t it be great if we spent our time building other HorseChiks up instead of tearing them down.

The HorseChik Brand was realized
After reading a particularly disturbing article about PMU foals, Jodi dreamed up a brand that would connect the equine community on a local level, to give voices to those trying to make the world a better place for all horses. The domain name was then purchased. If only she could have overcome her own life tragedies. Unfortunately it would take another 13 years before she could again get any traction.

Jodi signed up for her signature MTDT 6 week challenge. Her best advice; “with action comes clarity.” One foot in front of the other is how I’ve gotten this far.
April 2021
The HorseChik Brand was researched for prior use before filing trademark rights.
HorseChik was now going to become a reality and household name.
April 2021
HorseChik comes up with its first patented product and prior use searches are conducted for viability.
When you come up with an idea it then has to be checked for originality. This product idea came from seeing too much waste when it comes to non chemical fly control; so many fly masks were ending up in the landfill. When making a repair the mask is never the same, yet it still has usable parts.

FABRIC Tempe AZ.
While networking in a facebook group called (Women Helping Women) Maida Pirich recommended FABRIC for helping product developers. Turns out that’s what they specialize in helping starter companies get their fabric products launched. I reached out and planned my first site visit to get a working prototype made.

While networking in a facebook group called (Women Helping Women) Maida Pirich recommended FABRIC for helping product developers. Turns out that’s what they specialize in helping starter companies get their fabric products launched. I reached out and planned my first site visit to get a working prototype made. Thanks to college friends I was able to also have my first fitting.

HorseChik.com
When you are creating a business with products, a lot of your money goes into prototypes and protecting your ideas with patents. Sometimes there’s not much if any money left for websites and marketing, getting scrappy was Jodi’s plan. Therefore, she was looking for someone who would create a site in exchange for a testimonial. After searching she came across a company called, “Thefreewebsiteguys.com.” They have a great concept, they’ll make you a skeleton site in the hopes of getting to make additional sites or services in the future that they then would charge for. After 65 emails I have an amazing site.
